PLEASE READ regarding SELLER and RESULTING DANGEROUS SITUATION for CUSTOMER.

As of MARCH 2023: I recently purchased a strainer from the SELLER who, at time of purchase called themselves “JAYS OUTDOOR SUPPLY” or “Jay’s International Inc.”, currently posting as based in “Federal Way, Washington 98003”. As can happen, the item was damaged upon arrival. I scheduled a return. The seller provided a return label and instructions for return through the website.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The SELLER PROVIDES THE LABEL AND INSTRUCTIONS to the customer – even though it was PURCHASED AND THE RETURN was PROCESSED THROUGH the selling website WALMART.COM. I did not know this until this transaction because the SELLER provided a label they claimed to be from “FedEx”, but was not from FedEx (or anywhere else). When FedEx did not show up, I contacted FedEx through a known number 800-GoFedEx – NOT the numbers provided by the seller – or the Fake FedEx Calls/Messages I have received since scheduling the return.

FedEx confirmed – it was not a number in their system.

I contacted Walmart, who confirmed the same.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Walmart investigations do not start immediately – as of MARCH 2023 – it is not known how much longer the scammer currently known as either “JAYS OUTDOOR SUPPLY” or “Jay’s International Inc.” will remain a seller on several websites, including WALMART.COM.

Despite reporting it, because the process is slow, I am still receiving fake / scam phone calls from the seller, a criminal who gained access to my information by signing up to be a Seller through WALMART.com, as a ‘MarketPlace Seller’. These scammers are successful by engaging in enough legitimate transactions, to establish what appears to be a ‘trustworthy profile”. Guessing who to do business can be hard – but we now KNOW this seller IS a scammer, despite engaging legitimately in some transactions.

FRAUDULENT calls from varying numbers and callers – EACH SHOWING AS LOCAL, likely spoofed to appear legitimate, continue. It is scary how easy it is for a criminal to gain access to a national pool of victims through large chains offering sales venues to thousands.

We are hoping the seller stops now and this does not continue to escalate, or to having to involve law enforcement.

DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS SELLER

THINK HARD BEFORE ENGAGING WITH any seller that is not the Seller named on the website / store where you are making your purchase (i.e., a non-Walmart seller through Walmart.com).
